Pain

Dreadful and unpleasant. Awful and appalling. Yet very crucial and necessary. We take pain for granted. Remove the ups and downs from your unfolding story and what do you get? Emptiness. No hardships, nothing overcome, nothing to defeat, nothing to achieve, nothing to go through, No aims or goals and most importantly; no growth. No matter how much of a horrible and painful phase you are going through, it is changing you. It's helping you develop as you are using it as a stepping stone to grow further and widen your experience.

Last summer, I succumbed myself to shutting myself in. I met my only friends I had at school and I seldom met them to hang out outside of the school environment. Then I initially made a coherent time table consisting of things I would do which also involved reading and studying as well as coding to at least make my days eventful to some degree. But then I barely stuck to my own planned scripted sequence of activities. I slowly fell into constantly indulging. I hardly went out of the house, only a few times when my parents made me go out with them for walks. I would stay up late at nights for no reason, making me overthink a lot in exchange. I was in a comfort zone, and having no problems became a problem for me. I missed all of the rushes, anxiety, discomfort and hardships that school offered. The absence of pain combined with my aimlessness made my existence feel empty and miserable.

Whatever is challenging you at the present moment, it aids your growth in life. You've got this.

The only thing that makes something painful is your resistance towards it, otherwise it is just a neutral intense sensation.
This resistance is towards a limited state of being, if you possessed everything you would desire nothing.
The only thing limiting your experience is the habitually conditioned movement of your focus/ignorance.
