the nicki and megan drama and why nicki’s in the wrong

normally when it comes to music i try to separate the art from the artist, but recently i’ve deleted every nicki minaj song from my playlist. if anyone is confused or curious about the beef between her and thee stallion, you’re in the right place x3

recently, megan thee stallion released a catchy rap song called HISS. in one of the bars, she mentions megan’s law. here’s what comes up if you look up megan’s law:

“megan’s law(public law 104-145) is the federal law that requires the release of relevant information to protect the public from sexually violent offenders.”

nicki minaj’s husband, kenneth petty, is an american convicted sex offender, so this made nicki really mad. which is ironic because she made the choice to put a ring on that horrible person so she doesn’t have a right to be mad in my opinion.

then, apparently after a lot of instagram lives where she was talking crazy, she released a single called Big Foot. if you want you can give it a listen but i personally thought it was disgusting. she talks constantly about megan getting shot in the foot and her dead mom, which is absolutely foul and honestly unacceptable. she also threatened her and her child, which i think is like a baby. why would you do that?

not a lot of people are on her side, and think nicki’s gone crazy. they’re also comparing her to retro disney villains because of this speech she did at the end of the song which i think is funny.
