this year i want to become less of a shut-in who spends all their free time on their computer so im trying new hobbies!! so far i started reading the hunger games books and the woman in me by britney spears and so far i really like this hobby, who wouldve thought reading can actually be fun? and im also slowly getting into photography, i recently bought a 2000s digital camera and i LOVE taking pictures on it. like i literally take pics of everything i see. the pretty sunset, my cat, myself (although its hard to take pictures of urself when u cant even see what u look like, how did people in the 2000s do it so flawlessly??). i wanna go out in nature and take tons of pics but the weather is very gloomy and downright depressing so there isnt much to take pics of. >_> i also wanna start drawing again. when i was a kid i would draw CONSTANTLY, like every single day. but that was until i got access to social media which eventually turned my brain into mush and killed the creativity i once had. like im not kidding its been YEARS since ive last drawn something of my own free will that wasnt for a school project or smth. i used to make me very happy so i wanna get back into drawing, but everytime i sit down with a paper sheet infront of me and a pencil in my hand, my mind goes blank. how did i manage to draw for HOURS as a kid and now i cant even think of one single thing to draw? kinda sad, but oh well! i dont know if this is considered a hobby, but ive also been trying out fitness and even though its very tiring, its also sorta fun and it makes me feel good about myself! ive been doing an ab workout since the beginning of the year, and even though i've half-assed it the entire time, im starting to notice results so thats exciting! and since we're on the topic of exercising, im planning to take swimming lessons this year. yes im a grown adult and i still cant swim, dont laugh okay D: ??? last summer i went to a waterpark with my family and i nearly drowned in a pool full of kids who were half my age had no trouble swimming, so that was both very traumatizing and humbling to say the least, but thats a story for another day. but ever since that experience ive had a strong desire to learn how to swim. not only because i dont want to happen ever again (obviously), but because i love being in the water and swimming looks hella fun. maybe its because im a water sign? or maybe i unleashed my inner mermaid or something, idk. but ya thats about it, what hobbies do u guys have? tell me all about ur hobbies and who knows, maybe i'll find some new ones myself!
trying new hobbies!

Cool blog entry!!! I took a look at the comments and I'd say this feeling we all have about our creativity being killed by social media is actually more precisely the lack of genuine, pure boredom in our lives. We are so scared to be bored nowadays. So scared of "wasting precious time" lol. And I'm not talking doom-scrolling boredom, I'm talking going for a walk with no media, looking at the ceiling and letting yourself wander in your own thoughts and mind.... it might sound silly or maybe even scary but the truth izzzz..... that's probably how you'll get some inspiration again !!! Hope this can help!!

the way i related to what u said about social media made u lost ur creativity!! that happened 2 me too in the past few years, I used to be so creative back then, but now that I've deleted EVERY social media app i had on my phone except insta, I've got my creativity back and also I feel much happier than before (drawing is a part of what I'm studying at uni so yeahh. I've developed my drawing a lot and I'm so proud of myself) I also bought a digital camera and I take it with me everywhere I go, it's so fun! I'm glad I don't spend a lot time on my phone & computer anymore and found some hobbies too!

yessss youtube is good thoughh. i never watched yt shorts or ig reels and stuff i find them so boring and time consuming lol. i also love doing my makeup and taking pictures of myself without always posting them.. that helps me improve my makeup cause i used to such at it xD. i also stopped using insta tht much and post a lot on it cause it feels unhealthy 2 me... some of my friends post literally every 5 minutes where they at, who they're with and ehat they're doing and i just dont get it. but as long as they feel good doing it... i won't judge them. i'm saying this bc i was stressed the past few days about what people are gonna think about me if i post a pic of myself online xd.... but i stopped paying attention 2 it and i feel so much better rn :D

hii, im on this one too, im so scared how my life is going, at least i wanna pratice more my hobbies, i dont have problems about having hobbies, but im always wasting time with shits like internet. For now ive praticing crochet and macrame (knit is a option too), for the artistic side this is very good, and is gratificant making some itens, this could be cute too, like amigurumis and anything. Ill start with the fitness again, although its hard for sedentary. Writing, besides being creative, is good for day to day writing, for the thoughts, feelings, records, this can be a diary, or everything you like, this can help a lot for the emotional, i would really recommend this for a daily hobbie. And for least i bought a violin to learn, i think this is one of the best hobbies, learn a instrument. Ohh, im also learning sign language, besides to being useful for communicating and including people.
(soorry for the errors, im a total beginner in english, im using the comments to pratice english, its very good way for me, i just wanted pratice on this publication, sorry for any error) :)
