Chicxulub

As two of Kings watch from below, an Ace careens aft their Wheel's spokes.

KINGS

"Comets on high, they burn my eyes. Am I lucid? How suspicious!"

"It's no comet, don't be stupid. It's the dawn of new ambitions."

WHEEL

Salt on the wind and atmosphere.

Sky set to send down rapid tears,

Which I'll embrace.

I'm pained to say it won't be rain.

Lobs of hot rock pierce through my face;

Sent by dead gods from outer space.

Their names? Unheard.

I'm unconcerned for long-gone perps.

Curtains descend for pioneers.

Thus, marks the end of first rulers

Of sea and land.

Survivors shall gaze at the sky;

They'll map the stars, they'll track my scars.

They'll wonder why they're still alive.

I guess we'll see how good they'll be

At free-roaming the likes of me.
