Hello again! I have good news and some thoughts for this blog. The good news is that I am enrolled for the 2nd semester!!! I am excited and not at the same time. I am catching up with some activities that my blockmates have done for the past few weeks this weekend. Some thoughts that I want to share for this blog is about disliking social media. I have used social media a lot on a daily basis since my freshman year in Junior High; those were golden times but there are a lot of cons that weighs the pros. I've been thinking of quitting Instagram and just access Twitter on a browser when I want to. But I feel like I'm gonna get rid of it too, eventually. I don't use Reddit much and I think I'll just keep that; along with Quora too. My goal is that I can muster up the courage to delete altogether without hitting FOMOs before I hit my 20s. I don't have any issues with YouTube. I grew up watching YouTube and I learned and be entertained from having the app for years. I just hate the addiction of doom-scrolling even though when I am against it. It makes me feel icky about it and about myself; especially when I realize that I am doom-scrolling. I hate reels too. I hate short form videos. Too much edited videos I watched in the past is overstimulating sometimes. To be quite frank, I am also writing this blog so I can look back and what I think of social media and so for my future use, I'll be able to take some actions with more clarity to make a decision.
I will write more updates in the future but for now, I'll leave it there. As I grow older, I sort of wish I could go back to the days that things were a little more easier. But sadly, that is not possible so I still need to face reality head on. I try not to be too optimistic but I just want to live a bit more simpler life to make things tolerable and that I could say someday that I've lived life the way I wanted to.
I dislike Social Media

i'm 28 and I am very strict abotu what social media I engage with because these products are designed to monopolize your attention
It took me a few years but now I am more present in my day to day life because I only access social media via web browser on my PC instead of on my phone. I watch alot of youtube but avoid shorts, etc.
Remember, your mind is yours alone and your attention is valuable, you are taking the right steps toward applying your attention to things that bring you joy and fulfillment
cheers
