Late Christmas With My Dad and family

It was a good night last night. It's always a bit awkward with my dad. We haven't really spent much time together, so conversation is weird, but we always make it through. My stepmom is pretty cool and my brother's rock! We had dinner and then they gave my son and I our Christmas presents. They were really thoughtful gifts. They got me a ring that I've been wanting for a long time. I also got a really cool Starbucks cup and other things. They got my son a bike, which is really awesome! Now if he can just get the concept of peddling forward instead of backward. I wish that we all had a better relationship. When I was growing up, things weren't always easy and then I stopped going for every other weekend visits. I hope that we can all build that relationship back up.
