Is university really what they say in schools?

Normally everyone says that university is going to be worse than school and that you don't rest and things like that, but is it really what they say in schools? I mean maybe some things are true But I think that depends a lot on what you want to study. In my case it is engineering so a great odyssey awaits me. (Maybe) xd
