but rlly ik it can be rlly hard to sleep with overthinking etc. But here r some things that help me when my thoughts get to mee that hopefully can hep you<3
1. Medicine
this might not be the best option but can help. Like maybe take some melotonin gummies or some benatryl if nessacary. But the trick is to think your tired, Like after you take a gummy just in your mind be like "oh im soooo tired from the gummy" and stuff.
2. Drinks
ik you probably here this everywhere but hot drinks help SOOO much for me. Like just boil some tea or something and put honey in it it rllky helps. If u dongt have any tea bags etc, I have some sleepy time tea bags and anxity relif tea if you need it<3 You can also have like some hot milk or something. <3333
3. shower time placement
for ypur showers id reccomend to take it rlly close towards when its time for you to go to sleep. ANd make sure its like hot etc. thats just one thing that helps me again. The warmness helps a lot to get you tired.
4. bed
make sure your bed is comfertable!!! like put pillows and stuffed animals all around you andget a comfertable blanket yk what im talking about. But also try to change out some stuff for it to be fresh ig? lIke every onece in a while wash your sheets or get a new blanket to sleep with. IT HELPS SO MUCH MORE THAN YOUD THINK
5.music/sound
as an overthinker myself i know a lot about sounds. idk baout you but for me sounds in a backround help a lot. also music helps a bunch for sleep it kinda drowns out the overthinking almost. but if you play music try to focus on it and not your thoughts. oh yeah and for the tpe of music to listen to DO NOT i mean DO NOt listen to relatable stuff. It will literly make you cry because its relatable. also try not to lsten to rock or up beat stuff it wll just make you more awwake. ALso rain and if you search up soothing story on yt IS AWSOMEE it helps a lot.
6. breathing/ getting to sleep
try to scrunch up your body and then slowly realse all the tenstion. Or try to focuss on your breaths. also if your sleep schedlue is messed up pull an all nighter on a saturday and then on a sunday before school you can like pass out lol.
7. room
try to stay out of your room and at least like go on your ipad/chromebook WHATEVER YOUR DOING IN UR ROOM. in like the living room/dining room etc. ik parents... but ssometimes when you stay in yoour room for to long it like kinda feeels gross ig?? idk but also try to go outside ans like draw or something.
