1. To Kill a Shadow by Katherine Quinn
- 8/10
- Was a little grumpy/sunshine except the sunshine wasn't sunshine, just brighter in comparison
- It's a hetero main-pairing but lacked any sexism as far as I could tell
- Female lead was strong and interesting
- It was attraction at first sight, love at second, and it wasn't bad!
- A little quick paced but there's a second book coming out!
- The world-building was well done!
2. Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
- 9.5/10
- Rivals to lovers hetero couple and I loved it!
- Absolutely adorable first book despite the setting
- Very fluffy and sweet with some angst mixed in
- A comfort read for-sure
- The world-building is interesting and I hope to see more of it in the 2nd book
3. A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid
-8.6/10
- Female main character was so interesting! (In a good way)
- Rivals to lovers and I'm living for it
- There was romance but it wasn't the main focus of the book and I love it
- Was really deep and posed many deep and interesting questionsÂ
- At first glance it's not all that special but take a good look at it and you'll fall in love with the ideas, details, and characters!
- The exclusive cover is gorgeous!
- Engaging read that covered some sensitive topics really well!
