notecards and BLUE coughdrops?? impossible. unless?????

I cut whole notecards in half for efficiency, not exactly caring for jagged edges or rough corners. I stuffed them in a blue plastic zip-lock bag. That's how it was, and how it has been for several months now.

Today I dug through my backpack for my notecards, in the usual pocket in which they resided. 
I felt my notecards were slightly sticky, which was strange, but paid them no mind. It was rather annoying, and soon I came to the realization that a cough candy, a blue one, had been left in the same pocket many months ago — perhaps when I was sick, and the rain had washed away its yellow wrapper, leaving a sticky residue behind which coated the entire pocket. That time I was sick the first time I had a blue cough drop. Usually, I had yellow ones, yet the wrapper deceived me. It was the same wrapper as the yellow one. This was a shocking revelation to me, blue cough drops? Who had ever heard of such a thing? I even went around, bringing it up with other people, since that is how I am. Yet it seemed to be such an ordinary thing. How could I have never experienced blue cough drops in all my years of living? Not that I have lived very long. How strange.

Anyway, I had to clean that pocket thoroughly, with a damp paper towel. It was surprisingly easy to do so.
