Thoughts about My Love Mine All Mine - Mitski [Keep that love forever.]

Well, this post is gonna be really deep about the feelings that I have about love and how I think the song of Mitski can be interpreted from my POV. 

Listening to The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We was really cool. It was the first time that I listened to a Mitski album in the release day. Yeah, I loved the album, it's probably in the best album that I heard in 2023. It has a charm to it that I cannot describe in pure words. 

When I heard My Love Mine All Mine, I felt something different. It's a sad song, of course, that is not weird coming from a Mitski song. The rhythm, the slow drums in the background, the piano, all of it was perfectly crafted for the song. 

And something I can't forget, the lyrics;

'Cause my love is mine, all mine

I love, my, my, mine

Nothing in the world belongs to me

But my love, mine, all mine, all mine

Mitski explained that the only thing that it's not gonna disappear after she dies is gonna be the love that she has.

And, it resonated in me. The love that I have to other people, will disappear when I die? The love that they give to me, will disappear when they die? Probably not. Love is something really complex, people have many ways to describe it, and I think that is completely right. 

Love is something that comes from the inside, from your pure feelings. You are the only person that can explain the love that you have and you are the only person that can love the way you only can. Some people say that they can't love someone, but I think they are not right, as I said before, everyone loves in a different way. Everything in this world is gonna stay in here forever, as long as you want it to exist. Your thoughts, the interactions that you had with people, everything is gonna be where you left it.
