Eternal Lif3

On a base level, living forever sounds like a dream come true. I mean wouldn't it be great? You literally have all the time in the world to accomplish your goals and do whatever you could imagine. Being able to see all the new technology, plus being able to learn anything and everything. But could it really be that good? I mean watching everyone around you slowly die and everything around you changing as the years go on would be a terrible experience . Not to mention the pure procrastination most people would succumb to. “I have all of eternity to get it done, I'll just do it tomorrow,” you say until the couch below you has literally withered away.

I think that life being transient is what makes it truly beautiful. Knowing that any day it could be over has pushed me to move towards my goals every single day I have. There's something truly beautiful in the finality of it. It allows you to fully take in the beauty of all the little things around you. Whether it be a full moon in the sky, a beautifully blooming flower, or whatever it is; what makes it so beautiful and so special is the fact that it won't last forever. I mean just imagine if trees blossomed year round, it was always a perfect 85 degrees, and the sun was always set at either a sunrise or a sunset. Life would be nothing but dull and monotonous. The way the seasons cycle, the way that flowers wither away to come back just as pretty next year, and the way that sometimes it's blisteringly cold or unbearably hot, all serve the purpose of showing that nothing lasts forever.

And so, as I go through my journey through my limited window of time on this earth, I’ve come to appreciate the things around me more and more. I spend a lot of time just staring at what mother nature has created in awe of its beauty and its finality. I've come to realize that eternal life really has no place in this world. And my message to all is to enjoy the time you have, and don't waste it worrying about when it will end.
