communication was never my strong suit...
texting is so hard for me since I am unable to express my tone of voice through a message resulting in me often coming over as uninterested or dry

I have that too, I don't like using much fancy stuff like emojis and similar when texting. Additionally I'm often very direct, in the sense that I usually text a person with a certain purpose, because I don't know how to properly express myself when texting. This also leads to me having no clue how to keep a conversation going in text, I'm not the best at it irl, but I can atleast do it. Over text it just becomes impossible
