Card of the Day: three of wands
I broke out the sewing kit today. I've acquired some new clothes recently so I figured it's about time to revamp my wards and sigils and such. (I also stole some of Harper's and Tara's clothes, so they'll be getting some too.) (I'd only meant to grab Harper's. But there were quite a bit of Tara's mixed in so fuck it they're both getting shit.)
Sewing blessings into clothes has been apart of my family's practice for a very long time. My mother taught it to us, who learned from her own mother, who learned from her's. It's always been kind of interesting to me, how those traditions carry on through generations. Who takes a liking to something versus who drops it as soon as they're able. (My mother and I, vs Emery and Parker.)
For my jacket, I did my usual sigils for safety and good fortune, on the back of the neck and in the pockets, respectively. Steady hands in the sleeves of my shirts, and welcoming in my socks.
For Harper, I sewed confidence and protection into the sleeves of her sweater, bravery and energy for compassion into the collar. Tara got control and energy in general into their shirts.
A part of me worries she'll be. I don't know. Unnerved. That I did this. That she'll notice and think I'm extremely strange and clingy and obsessive. Ah fuck. I feel very small. Ok. It'll be fine. Everything is all good. I am a witch, I am allowed to be strange and off putting. Right? Right. Okay.
Great.
Moving on.
I think I'm starting to feel a bit better, physically. I think whatever cold I've got has mostly run it's course, I'm a bit less tired. Still have a lingering cough, though. I'll take a walk tomorrow. Eat an orange. I don't know.
