beginnings of the emo subculture

This phenomenon began as a musical genre in the late 80s in the United States. It emerged as a musical genre that came out of post-hardcore. This genre was named Emotional Hardcore due to its extremely emotional and expressive content of its lyrics. However, it was later abbreviated as Emo-core.

It is considered that the beginning of this musical genre was in 1986 with the release of the album "rites of spring" by the band with the same name.
