i finally got to go out with my friend J for the first time - just the two of us - and she introduced me to this cool eatery called Joji's Diner. the food there is so good and the ambience is perfect. i usually HATE these 'trendy' cafes/diners by the roadside because the food is always basic and overpriced, the place only cares for being "instagrammable" and the people frequenting there are there just to get photos that'll match their overly curated feeds. but this was genuinely GOOD, everything about it. even the service is spectacular.
afterwards, i made an impromptu trip to the library (me? doing something unplanned? insane..) and found an interesting sounding book: 'The Book of Koli' by M.R. Carey. if anyone has read this, i'd love to hear your thoughts.
i should definitely read more. it's going to help with my own writing. i really hope to finish writing this by the end of this year. new year's resolution..? (since i didn't actually make one this year)
