I drew my OC Riff here during a day time sleep study the other day [the
green bg one] with colored pencils!! i haven't done colored pencils in
YEARS
then I drew the left most light pink one on some draw
together thing on aggie.io [if you're reading this quiet, thanks again
for sharing that it was a lot of fun] and then I drew the other two
sketches and the expression doodles overt he past two days haha

can super tell that my art style is impossible to keep consistent even
when i want to.. if I take longer than a 5 minute break i suddenly
cannot draw the same and it kills me inside but!! i have such a vast
range of wonderful art styles I draw due to it so <3 that's okay
but
yeah!! i didn't use refs for any of these [outside of looking at the
old art of her i have in the bottom right corner and vague ref usage for
the epxressions in the corner you can barely read haha] EXCEPT for the
one holding a purse. Really wanted to get those crossed legs right. I
feel so powerful cause normally i need like seven refs for one drawing.

I am reading it and yw man, i will probably do it again later <3! And also, funny how u mention changing styles and stuff! That's actually cool, i strugle sometimes with that! I think i can draw consistently in one style, but changing styles is quite hard for me!!

I love that i have a decent range because of it, but sometimes making ref or sketch pages of the same character and it ends up like this [or 10x worse] I once got accused of tracing because once in a blue moon my art will literally look like it's drawn by a different person 🫠
I would love to be able to draw consistently cause i do not try to change styles and sometimes try very hard to draw in the same style but can't even drawing directly next to something in that style
it just all depends on the refs [or lack of] that i'm using, and if i have experience drawing said thing/person before cause those affect my style the most it seems.
