Why you should watch "The Machinist" // great Christian Bale movie

Hey, are you bored and alone at home? Wanna see a movie that probably will make you feel awful without too much blood and not one single scarejump? Wanna see Christian Bale suffering and suffer with him too, wanting to give him food, water and make him take a fucking nap because he looks really terrible? Then I have the movie for you, pal: The Machinist (2004)

Directed by Brad Anderson (who are u) and starred by one of my favorite actors, Christian Bale (the guy that can change his form),The Machinist is about what a guy can suffer from a deep and not resolved internal guilt, that drives this guy to not only lose weight, but also lose his mental stability. Our little friend called Trevor Reznik, hasn't slept for over a whole year or more, the movie won't tell you this motive until the end, but you can guess by this that Trevor's mind must be very f*cked up, and one accident in his work will only increase the state of paranoia that he has been feeling in this last time. From the moment one, the viewer knows that we can't totally trust Trevor's vision of things, we can't totally believe what his eyes showed to him because of how poor is the state of his whole body, even due this, the movie guides us throught Trevor's tired eyes that can't rest not even one bit, not even when he sits in a chair, not even when he is in his car, he can't rest, his eyes won't close, because he can't let himself sleep, he can't let himself rest and close the eyes for forget the past, his past can't leave so easily and Trevor's mind want him to accept this.

The movie in a visual way can also give us that dirty and stinking feeling with that green palette (something quite used in the 2000's) and the whole aspect of every scene in the film, with very marked shadows and stuff. That and Christian Bale's appeareance are something that marks the whole atmosphere of the movie, which is absolutely annoying in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable,what else could we ask for!?!? :D

If you're scared of a bit of blood and maybe industry machine small accidents, there's a bit of this in the movie, but not too much, so calm down and enjoy it, pal.
