Shit talking books

I’ve never made a blog before but I’m probably going to dedicate them to shit talking books, the first book I’m clowning on is LIGHTLARK by Alex aster

Okay first of all the representation she promised in this book is completely invisible and abysmal, her antagonists suck because the way she wrote them makes them seem like they’re trying too hard, and they aren’t even antagonists since they all have to kill one person anyways?? 

Her protagonist is absolutely pathetic and keeps switching her mind every ten seconds which is so annoying, and the people who raised her are basically her abusers so… the Magic system is literally not explained whatsoever and the author gave her amnesia for some reason?? She also switches between the two love interests so fast that it’s ridiculous. It’s called “Enemies to lovers” but in reality it’s more like “Two 500 yr men who are the most basically written characters groom a 17 yr old girl.” Like how did this get published??
