Rosemary Winters and Cheryl Mason

Okay, this is gonna be a bit of a ramble-y thing, but I was replaying Silent Hill 3 recently and my brain kind of just... realised something?

Rose Winters is basically Resident Evil's version of Cheryl Mason. Think about it, they're both blonde teens who's fathers die at the hands of a cult that try to use them for different reasons (Rosemary as an attempt to revive Eveline and Cheryl to birth Baphomet), both have to kill the black haired daughter of the evil cults leader who they are technically the reincarnation of, and once their story ends and they avenge their fathers they finally get a moment to properly process and mourn.

Obviously I'm not saying "Oh, capcom are ripping off Konami with Rosemary and Eveline," because A) that's stupid to say, and B) there are clear differences between the pair, with Ethan dying while Rose was a baby while Cheryl was seventeen when Harry died, but I noticed the similarities and thought it was pretty interesting.

Anyway yeah that was my ramble, bye :D
