the new front bottoms album is good!?

i didnt hav high hopes! ISAIF was just Fine (i love going grey but im biased bcoz thats what got me into them altho its far from perfect), a few standouts but for the most part underwhelming. kinda jus a more lacklustre version of their older style...

but for dis album it feels like theyve found a sound thats different to their past stuff and good in its own way!! 

Batman is my fav song off it rn! ofc bcoz batman the character is awesome but its also jus a good jam! im going to be SCREAMING "TRUTH IS I HAVE ALLWAYYS BEEN SORT OF AN EMBARRASSMENT" when i see them live istg

Emotional is another great banger, i like the edgier sound they go 4 in songs like this and Clear Path :)

Paris also has 2 be mentioned as more fire gusic.! paris is definitely a highlight in how their sound has changed. u could Never catch the band making a weird trippy autotuned song about getting so high u feel like ur in paris back in Talon Of The Hawk era. Myspace era TFB definitely 100% would tho, making the song feel like a modernisation of their eclectic wacky sound and ideas they had early on in releases like My Grandma Vs Pneumonia or Brothers Cant Be Friends, or even some later songs like Hooped Earrings.

In summary this album was a pleasant surprise! I love the way theyre experimenting and its so exciting and encouraging me to get back into their older music too ! i hope this creativeness extends to their next grandma EP!!!! 

(on that note i can NOT fucking wait for their next grandma ep u do not know the amount of fucking ECTSASY i will express when  i see Push Ups and Taking My Uzi To The Gym remastered)
