Cactus boy
Cactus boy, you were soft from the beginning
Then, as time went on you grew rougher
You started to prick me with your thorns but I brushed them off
Sometimes I’d have a couple of needles stuck a little deeper
But I’d still hold you and tell you I loved you
Cactus boy, this time you pricked me too deep
My skin stinging and bleeding
As you ripped yourself off of me
Like a bandaid that was stuck but not stuck enough for you and me
If you had stayed you would’ve just kept on pricking me
Cactus boy, I’m glad you decided to leave
But why did you let me bleed?
