Art Blog #1 - Started an Art Blog, so... Welcome!

I decided to start an Art Blog, so, welcome to day one of my Art Blog!

This isn't day one of me DRAWING, obviously, I've been doing art since I was 2, but I've never actually got into loving it until the age of 9. And, OH BOY have I improved. I don't have much art pieces from when I was nine, so, just try to think of a dog made out of circles and ovals 😅.

I started digital art and animation at age 10. I was in the wings of fire fandom for quite a long time, and I saw some M.A.P's (Multi-Animator Project) online and I was in AWE! At the time, I didn't understand the concept, however, it really stuck me how talented the WoF community really was. This inspired me, and as a member of the Wings of Fire community, I decided to try out digital art. My digital art experience began on Scratch, however, once day I stumbled on this great art program called Fire-Alpacha and it was SO MUCH FUN. I began making silly little animations, however, as I started using it more, my art pieces and animations got a little more complicated...

Eventually, I fell into the Warriors fandom, and began OBSESSING over these silly little cats! When I saw the art from the Warriors fandom, I was just as starstruck as I was with the WoF community. So I began drawing Warriors as well as WoF.

Unfortunately, when I was 11, I began doubting myself and art. I began telling myself that my style sucked, and I was never going to improve. Many things were going on in my life that was hard for me to see the bright side of things, so, I just gave up art. It wasn't until I was in high school that I realized, "Damn, these people are cool, I wish I could draw like them,". That reignited my interest in art a tiny bit. Then, I met my awesome partner who inspired me to do so much with my art, and introduced me to this brilliant site Sandspiel, which set the candle ablaze. I was back into art, and was contently drawing.

Many other interesting stuff happened in my art journey that I would love to share, for example, I one day tripped and fell back into the amazing world of Alan Becker, after forgetting about him for 6 years, however, I'm taking up way to much time writing this, haha!

I've had a pretty great art journey so far, it's been 4 years! But, some advice? Don't stop art! Art is a great way of expressing yourself, and I am so glad to be apart of this wonderful community, and if you're an artist, you should be too! No matter if your art is digital, traditional, 3D, watercolor, the list goes on! You should always be proud of your work. Even if it's just a sketch, be proud! Art takes time, and every art piece, no matter how small or major, helps us improve. So artists, don't stop trying! Even if you think your art looks bad, it helps you develop your skills. So, be proud of your work!

Well, I've been talking for a while, so I'll end this blog. That was day 1 of my art blog, and I really hope you enjoyed. Hopefully in future blogs I'll incorporate some of my works, but for now you can have my profile picture haha. Hopefully I'll get better at writing these as the blogs go on. But anyway, thank you for reading until the end!

~ Catch ya later artists!
