some of my favorite albums

in rainbows - radiohead: been with me for so many years, it makes me feel like dying and coming back, it's noisy and calm at the same time, the riffs, the overdrive, it makes me FEEL things

sunbather - deafheaven: this one is just cool. it's a perfect 60 minutes. it's harsh and scary, but their lead guitars still feel soft to me. it is melodic in the way hardcore can be, and has all the atmosphere of my favorite goth albums (see the cure) with some of the best metal screaming i've ever heard.

die festung - paysage d'hiver: pure atmosphere. synths that make you feel like you are floating. it's cold, it's dark, it's musically remarkable. also recommend paysage d'hiver's other, non dungeon synth music. 

mezzanine - massive attack: hypnotic, dark, and hot. incredibly influential (thank you for portishead) no seriously, this is an EXPERIENCE. listen in order.

ランプ幻想 - lamp: gorgeous, warm, alive and melancholic. the opposite of the paysage d'hiver album. soft vocals, cute guitars, perfect for staying in, and waking up on sunday mornings.
