Insincere grins on my grim face
No time to make broken amends
I hope my soul is in a better place
Victory is a myth, my friend
No despair for the crows to feast
Emotionless fear presented in the shadows
Praying for innocence that’s deceased
Must you fight for a price so shallow?
My self-evident cynical ways–
Demonstrate your wrath and vain
Bow down to the cards you’ve played
While I laugh at your well-deserved pain
