amen in short means "i believe", that's why it's at the end of most prayers, to signify that the person praying believes in what they are praying about/for. the bible ends that way to show that the readers/writers believe that what is written is true

the bible mentions not to far before that verse that no one shall add any more scripture, and amen being the end of prayer, is signifying the end of the bible.

Im no expert but amen means something along the lines of “so let it be done” and the last few verses ask for the mercy of Christ on the holy ones so its just asking for that to come true methinks
