the time i had a bug stuck in my ear - storytime

kay so i was likk 12ish?? i lived in a kinda shitty rednecky area? likk country country. and if i remember correctly, we were in a drought. a very, very hot drought. i have always hated going 2 bed sweaty and dirty, and that hot Sunday night, i laid in bed freshly showered. I left myself a little damp cause it was HOT and my fan blowing directly on my wet skin? an amazing feeling. 

unfortunately, i didnt know at the time that many bugs will hide in tight damp spaces if its 2 hot out. and i lived in a shitty trailer home, so the bugs had an ez way in 2 find said damp stop. 

well, 2am monday morning, i felt a pain in my ear. a horrible horrible pain, along with the loudest noises ive ever heard. i shared a room w/ my big sister at the time and apparently i woke her up screaming and she went 2 wake up my mom, who saw a bug in there!!! 

my mom told me 2 stop screaming b4 i woke up my months old baby sister. she had me lay down on my side, good ear against the bed and the poured rubbing alc in the bug ear. which hurt. a lot. cause it was killing the bug and the bug really didnt want 2 die. so it was fluttering and biting my ear.

( note: hopefully this wont happen 2 u, but if it does, DONT DO THIS!!! instead put some oil in ur ear and tilt ur head, bug ear faced down. the bug is just trying 2 get out and this will help it with minimal pain. my mom didnt know this at the time.)

anyway, dead bug in my ear. my mom tries and fails 2 take it out and opts 2 tape some gauze over my ear till we can make it 2 a doctor. She then asks me if i wanted 2 go 2 school that day ??? i said  no, cause that would be embarrassing. likk girl i have a bug in my ear???

so i got 2 stay home monday, tuesday, and wednesday. yeah it took my mom 3 days 2 figure out how 2 get the but out. she even scared my eardrum w/ a tweezer. when my dad found out abt the bug (im a child of divorce lolz) he just took me 2 a doctor ant they got it out in less than 5 minutes. 

was a weird season of my life. now i don't shower be4 bed and i only sleep with ear plugs in.
