The Year of the Linux destop? NO here's why

#Linux is not harder to use then #Windows if it's a good user friendly distribution like most of the popular ones with a GUI. Of course if you have experience with Windows and none with Linux Windows may end up being significantly easier for you. But when it comes to Windows they do make significant changes to the UI that you have to relearn. I use #LinuxMint.

I think the main reason it is not and will not be for a long time "The year of the Linux desktop" is the difficulty in getting a computer with Linux. Getting a brand new Linux laptop is not as easy as the other kinds. You have to go to a special website or install it yourself. I think #Framework frame.work is a cool option and there is also System76.com, laptopswithlinux.com and kfocus.com (list any other Linux laptop stores you know below)

But you don't get the Linux option in physical stores (I'm not counting Andriod, Kindle's and Chromebooks become those don't have the regular Linux functionality like Linux programs though they use the Linux kernal)
