Welcome back to 2003

Just looking at the UI for this site instantly brings me back to smoking on the balcony outside my university's radio station, listening to the latest track from Gomez, and bullshitting with my closest friends. I didn't know at the time that every one of them would eventually drift away into that misty realm of acquaintances-who-used-to-be-friends. If you told me then in that momemt that I would go to war not once, but three times over the next decade, or that the serpentine path of my life would eventually wend its way to the dream life of a suburban middle class dad... well, I don't know what I would have done. Probably look at you sideways and wonder why this person was talking to me.
