the batman (2022) my thoughts on the movie

genuinely I believe the batman 2022 revived the superhero genre and I see people talk about that yes the movie is good but I never see people give it the genuine praise it deserves, matt rife as a director has instantly entered my top ten directors thanks to this movie. the way this movie looks and feels is so unironically grungy and not in a way that's cringe or over the top, the soundtrack also helps this with a phenomenal use of diegetic music and the soundtrack as a whole (the two most obvious examples of this being 'something in the way' by nirvana  and 'Ave Maria' by Franz Schubert being themes for the batman and the Riddler respectively) but I also think the main thing that kicks this movie out of the park for me is the cast, Robert Patterson is the best movie batman besides the lego batman in my opinion and Zoë Kravitz as cat women is amazing and bring everything the character needs, then there is obviously Paul Dano as the riddler who steals the show and honestly makes the movie for me.

sorry for this but im really autistic and my hyperfixation atm is the batman and most movies Paul Dano is in and i just needed an excuse to info dump/ share my opinions

i wish more directors took note from this film cuz it was perfect in any shape or way possible! the cinematography the lighting acting.. THIS IS THE BEST AND ONLY MOVIE IVE SEEN IN RECENT YEARS THAT I ACTUALLY BOUGHT ON BLURAY!! i dont see a lot of gritty lik movies or shows anymore that scratch that itch

but i still see the film world being built up with movies/shows that hav a horrible script and the same ol reused plot with nothing new 2 add.. hopefully that changes soon
