basically every band has done something fucked up in the past (or more recently, i dunno) but people just kinda choose what artists are labeled as problematic or not
like msi are completely shit on but ayesha erotica is proudly mentioned in so many ppls bios??
how bad does an artist/band have to be for people to tell you to "stop supporting them"? spotify sucks ass and barely gives the artists money so i doubt that telling a person to stop listening to mgk would make a change in the slightest
not 2 mention that peter steele from type o negative was a terrible person lmao

hi no, listening to music by "bad" people doesnt make someone a "bad" person. if someone doesnt want to listen to an artist because of their morals thats their choice and i see it as admirable. but telling people not to listen to music by someone because theyre a "bad" person is a pointless, virtue signalling endeavor.
and also unfortunatly, some "bad" people make really fucking good music.
