I love listening to music; it's a significant part of who I am. I especially enjoy discovering unique and intriguing tracks, like this particular piece of trip-hop from the '90s that was created for Nike of all things. - Link -
Lately, I've been diving into a community that specializes in uncovering lesser-known tracks from the past. Some of these songs don't even have a name or a known artist; others are partially lost or largely unknown. It's fascinating to think about the vast amount of music that has been created since we gained the ability to record and share it, and how much of it has become lost or overlooked. It's as if these tracks just fade into the annals of musical history, never to be heard again. I find it intriguing how something can be created so quickly and then vanish just as fast. Just imagine the great music that has slipped through the cracks of time.
Browsing through Discogs, checking out the genre listings for a particular year, and listening to different tracks one by one is pretty cool. It's a neat way to stumble upon new artists I'd never think to listen to otherwise. It's like digging through a treasure chest of music – never know what gem I might find next!
Well, that's the end of my rant for today. Not sure why I felt like sharing all of this, but there it is.
