Hawaii Part ii songs ranked (My opinion)

B4 you read, pls just know there isn't one song on this album I dislike, so this is just from ok-est to best imo

1. Dream Sweet in Sea Major

First ever Miracle Musical/Tally Hall song I ever listened to. I found it in 2020 and it's always held a special place in my heart. Also makes me think of Moondrop from Fnaf so that's comforting. Love the music and general feel of this song so much.

2. Labyrinth 

I genuinely dont understand people that hate on this song. Fun sounds with an intriguing message, Labyrinth never fails to make me question my existence. 

3. The Mind Electric

I'll be honest, I almost always skip through the reversed part unless I'm going for the full album experience. Still, The Mind Electric presents a chaotic and meaningful message through its lyrics. The imagery of Simon's decline into insanity is done in such a awesome manner. Also dispite everything, I can somehow still relate to this song, so that's something.

4. Time Machine

SO UNDERRATED!! I LOVE the main lyrics of Time Machine, and the unique sounds make it even better! The message of the song is relatable, and the way it fits into the story of this album is cool to me. I can also appreciate that this songs message is less complex than the rest of the songs on the album.

5. Isle Unto Thyself

Honestly, I just love the way this song sounds. The female voice sounds so pretty and the lyrics of this song are so interesting to me. Fun song.

6. Black Rainbows

Much like Isle Unto Thyself, this song is just very fun and pretty sounding to me. I like the different colors being sung in Hawaiian in the background. STELLA OCTANGULA 🤩🤩🤩

7. Murders

This song is what I consider to be the "shifting point" of the album. This song marks the first signs of descent in the music with the death of the main characters love intrest. The sudden dark tone is ear-catching (is that a word? Lol) and just really cool story wise. And yes Tiktok, ending very cool.

8. White Ball

While this song is good on its own, it falls behind when it comes to the better songs on this album. That being said I love the imagery of the couple dancing in the moonlight moments before tragedy strikes in Murders. Great song.

9. Space Station Level 7

Another underrated song! Again, love the imagery presented of the love intrest in heaven. I would probably like this song better if I understood the lyrics (I don't speak French), but I still love the vocals.

10. Stranded Lullaby

In comparison to this rest of the songs on this album, this song just falls behind for me personally. This song is slow and melodic, which I can appreciate given Simon's circumstance at this point in the album. I definitely do not dislike this song, but it's just a bit too slow for me to put it any higher.

11. Intro to the Snow

Only reason this is in the last spot is because it's so short. I love Intro to the Snow and how it offers, well, an introduction to the album! I love how the lyrics line up with Dream Sweet in Sea Major. Very nice opening, but because it's so short I can't put it above any of the longer songs on the album.
