Land of the Lustrous is severely underrated! The #! anime that does 3d animation right, I adore the writing & character design as well as development, and a total nerd for the soundtrack, I listen to it all the time!
I related to Blue Period a lot, as an artist who started her art journey just in 2021. The writing can sometimes be dramatic, sure, but it overall did a great job portraying work and skill > "pure talent", which is what ive had to do for these few years.
Bloom into you had me on a deep level as well, as someone who is solemnly attracted to anyone, but when is, is female. I loved the writing & character progression.
If you like existentialism, Neon Genesis Evangelion is a must.
Cute romance, Horimiya
Drifting Home. I watched this one in an airplane and was on the edge of my small seat the entire time, I loved everything about it
Grave of the Fireflies made me cry. I think that should tell you something, I don't ever cry about anime.
lol, sorry this is everywhere! i wanted to get some points in, but its also 1:31 AM for me and i wake up at 6:00 most days. I'll probably read this tomorrow and think "wait, why did i say that?" sleep well! Zzz
