Winter break moment (rambling)

Heyo, its been awhile since ive posted anything here. I dont really have an excuse, i havent been that busy lol. I'm still on winter break and will be until the 20th which means im back home. Since my mom has covid and my dad is away doing whatever it is he does, im the only one in the house with a driver's license. I'm the oldest of four siblings so that means my day starts when theirs' does. Ive spent most if this week and last doing pickups and dropoffs at their school (luckily my sister also has covid so its only my 2 brothers). When im not schlepping them around, im either sitting at this computer or rock climbing.

Earlier in the break i went to a ski resort which supposedly had a bouldering gym in the town, but when i got there they said they had to shut the wall down due to safety concerns (its now just a normal gym, all the holds were intact mind you, so it looked from afar like id be able to climb there but nope :P). Defeated, i spent a lot of that trip loafing around and not doing what i came there to do--ski and climb, i even brought my climbing shoes, what a waste!

Luckily, when i got back, i was able to find a climbing gym and finally get back on a wall. Unfortunately i was super sore, so it took almost a week to get back into the groove of things (no pun intended). I even got a high school buddy of mine into it as well. For the past 2 weeks we've been going to two different gyms. The second gym we went to had apparently just opened because when we walked in for the first time we climbed for free because it was their grand opening that day! Unfortunately yesterday i think i hurt one of my fingers early in the session on a cheeky dyno (if youre wondering, no, i didnt make it to the next hold but it was close), so i took a break today. All the friends ive seen over the break are gonna be heading back to college pretty soon, so im not sure what to do in the coming days.

I just got black mesa after subjecting myself to the torture that is HL:S. So far its an amazing reimagining, of the original half life, hopefully one day its expansions will get similar treatment.
