Last week, I almost presented a final assessment.
I almost hit the "accept" button on a very important offer.
I almost collapsed from exhaustion.
I almost wrote a poem about climbing the hill that caused my near-collapse.
I almost decided I was no longer a writer, because what are writers good for?
I regret nothing.
When people say "sleep on it", they're serious. Looking back on a situation with all the wisdom of your new self (which is a stupid thing to say, since selves are transient... but you know) is the best wisdom you'll ever get.
My dreaded almosts curl around me --
As should yours.
Thanks for reading my latest diary entry! I'm shoving this in the "Writing" section because it's not a proper diary entry anyway.
