Stretching My Ears!

So, I've been wearing 16g jewelry for a month and today I decided that my ears were ready to size up (it's just a 0.4mm difference), and the 14g plugs went right in! (I didn't use tapers ofc) It didn't hurt at all, and I'm so happy to be a little closer to my goal size of 4g :) Hopefully next month I'll be at 12g, but I don't wanna rush it ofc. Anyways that's it, bye!

UPDATE: I'm at 12G now :D

UPDATE #2: It's been a little over 2 months since my last update, but I'm happy to say that I'm at 10G now! I did use tapers, though...yes, I know they're bad, but my ears were ready to size up, and I just used them to guide the jewelry in. Anyways, they're still a little tender when I move the jewelry (I sized up a like 2 days ago). I'll update again when I size up, bye! :)

UPDATE #3: Sad news...unfortunately two weeks ago I lost ALL of my progress, and now I'm back to 14g. This was because I accidentally caused both of my lobes to tear from stretching up too soon. I thought my ears were ready, and I also left the jewelry in for like 4 days before I eventually took them out because I was too stubborn. I ignored the pain for a while because my ears have always been sensitive after stretching up (just a little bit of soreness when touched, but it goes away after 1-3 days) but I should've known something was REALLY wrong when my left ear started to throb after the first day. Of course, I didn't know my ears had torn, and I kept putting shea butter on them regularly up until I took them out, and I'm guessing it trapped some bacteria inside because when I took out the jewelry some pus came out of my left ear. I'm very sad about it ofc, but at least I didn't cause a blowout and my ears are healing fine so far :) oh, and I heard the scar tissue will strengthen my lobes and that stretching up again should be faster the second time around. Anyways, there probably won't be an another update until like 1-2 months depending on how fast my ears heal and how comfortable I feel about trying to size up again. See you until then, and thanx for reading!

UPDATE #4 (9/20/24): After three months of waiting, I am finally back to 2.5mm! Stretching back to size this time was actually twice as fast since I started stretching my ears in December (the "incident" was sometime in June...) Also, as you've probably noticed, this update is actually dated! I wish I dated all my previous entries so you guys could see an accurate timeline of my stretching journey. Oh, and during this re-stretching process, my left ear reached 2.5mm way faster than my right (it took about half a month longer for my right ear to finally stretch up to size), which I found kinda interesting. As for the next update, I will be waiting much longer to size up since I'm no longer re-stretching my lobes (I tore going up to 3mm from 2.5mm), and I'll attempt to stretch my ears in around 2-3 months (no tapers... never again...) anyways, c ya later!

UPDATE #5 (10/10/24): Wow, I didn't expect this update to come so soon! Anyways, I just wanted to let u guys know that I stretched my left ear from 2.5mm to 3mm! My lobe was a little sore earlier but nothing too crazy (no throbbing, thank GOD.) Oh, and a few months ago I somehow lost one of my 2.5mm plugs so I've been wearing a stupid taper in my left ear for the last couple months :| I'm SO glad I finally have a plug in there bc tapers r ugly. I'm almost at my goal size (4g), so let's hope I don't fuck this up again (istg if I jinx myself...) anyways, you can expect another update in 1-2 months since I wanna be patient with my right ear :) bye!

UPDATE #6 (12/11/24): Small update, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I finally stretched my right ear to 3mm! I'm so happy that my ears are finally the same gauge, but I'm sure that won't last too long since my left ear has been 3mm since early October. However, I'm scared to stretch my left ear since 1mm is a big jump (I'm used to 0.5mm~ differences.) I'll probably have to buy a few half-sizes sometime soon. :/
