My Album of the Month: Magical Mystery Tour - The Beatles.

Hey everyone, I'm trying this new thing where I put up my personal favorite album of a month, hope you like it.

Now, we'll talk about The Beatles, which is one of, if not, the most influential band in the entire history of modern music. With their begginings as the regular love songs, to experimenting with new instruments and editing techniques, The Beatles have shown to be one of my personal favorite bands.

The Beatles have an almost perfect discography, their best albums including: Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's, Abbey Road and Help!

But, as seen in the title, and in my opinion one of the best albums by them, Magical Mystery Tour is this month's album of the month!

Magical Mystery Tour is the Beatles' double EP released in 1967, one year before The White Album. This EP includes the soundtrack for the TV shortfilm of the same name. And in the US, since EPs weren't very popular, they released the album as an LP, containing singles that weren't released there.

Now here is the tracklist reviewed by me, in the US LP edition.

Please take note that I'm not like anthony Fantano, so I can't really describe well how I like songs.

1. Magical Mystery Tour.

Great intro, I must admit, I love the inviting feel it has, and its trumpets are amazing! You can hear it in my page, or just go to Spotify or ITunes or whatever you use. 9/10

2. The Fool On The Hill

Another one of Paul's best, I love that flute instrumental, it sounds really playful and amazing. 8/10

3. Flying

Now this one is great, it's just an instrumental, but it's still really great, but when you acompany it with the visualizer that's in the film... It feels like another kind of song. 8/10

4. Blue Jay Way

Harrison really outdid himself with this one, with the combination of western and Hindi instruments, really like it. 8/10

5. Your Mother Should Know

Another song by Paul, really great, and an awesome finale for the film, although I can see why some say Paul writes songs for grannies (Yes, they say that) 7/10

6. I Am The Walrus

This song has no literal meaning, as said by John in an interview, seriously. And although that, this song is really freakin' awesome, and especially the english garden part. 10/10

7. Hello Goodbye

This song is really great, and honestly, I don't have anymore to say about it, it's just great. 8/10

8. Strawberry Fields Forever

This song is so amazing, It's a relaxing and yet melachonic song, and I really, really like it. 9/10

9. Penny Lane

Yet another song by Paul and this one is as great as it is. A song about Paul's nostalgia about this Liverpool street, it really reflects the normal day-to-day life of the people living here. 9/10

10. Baby You're A Rich Man

The piano here is amazing, and that acordeon is really great. In all, it's a really great song, catchy too. 7.5/10

11. All You Need Is Love

This is, in my opinion, the best Beatles song in their entire discography, such a great message and an awesome instrumental, and the chorus is one of the most iconic ones in music. 10/10

And in all, this album's final score is:

93.5 / 110 -- A TIER!

Please remember this is my personal opinion, I'd like to see yours in the comments! See you on Febuary!
