See what the wardrobe basics you're going to need are. Focus on silouette, youre gonna need a lot of fitted jeans and tshirts but baggy hoodies and jackets. Accessories are also quite important so see what the vital ones are, in my opinions studded belts and kandi are the basic ones
I mean in the summer I like wearing skinny or tighter fitting shorts cuz it hot but I hate how tighter fitting pants look on me or like just non-baggy pants. But like baggy stuff wouldn't work? :(
You could probably pull it off, best to look at what was popular in the 2000's to see the sort of things that work. You can definately find examples of people wearing baggier jeans but skinny jeans are just what comes to mind when I think emo

They don't have to be tight, they just have to be a skinny cut of jeans. You could also go for jegging if you wanted smth stretchier
