i listened to it &... well, idk it just doesnt convince me
like i think it's too repetitive? but like i KNOW that in some songs, repetitiveness does sound good, but idk i just cant seem to like this one x( i'd say that it's because of how new the rythm is- like; he has been experimenting so much now with GLOOM DIVISION that ig it's...idk how to put it on words
the same thing happened to me w/ What's Love and GLOOMTOWN BRATS; i had to listen to them around 2-4 times to like it (with the exception of gloomtown, i LOVE gloomtown brats, it's my fav rn) but with INFATUATION it doesn't happen the same-- idk, maybe i have to listen to it a few more times but i dont think i will like it. i dont want to listen to it so much that i will eventually hate it lol
but afterall-- the music video was SO GOOD the dallon latex mask is so funny that it's weird but in a good way 😭
i personally would give it a 6/10
what do you guys think??!! :D

I think with all the Ryan stuff it might have affected the stuff he's put out? Idk since the split, it's not necessarily bad but maybe he feels he can experiment, I'm not sure but I just hope they keep the sound that we're used to overall. Honestly I was really excited for What Love and felt a little confused about how I felt about it when it dropped.
I agree with you pretty much entirely, ngl. He really is experimenting a lot. I missed the one or two different sounding verses, the changes to the chorus, stuff we're used to. I'm not sure what that will mean for the album but Gloomtown Brats is more what I expect from IDKHOW, I think What Love is better than Infatuation. Gloomtown Brats one of my favorites right now too, it has that IDK sound with heavy groovy bass and the lyrics- perfect and scratches the itch I can't find anywhere else really.

omg you're speaking the truth
i mean yeah, with all that ryan problem i think he probably felt like more liberated? or smth which made him experiment more
i was like you when what love came out, it was weird- but then when i heared it a second time it just felt better in some way
though i've heard that GLOOM DIVISION will be the most experimental album we've had since razzmatazz, i think it still lacks in some parts of that iDK feeling in some parts. i agree with you about gloomtown- it's the song that most sounds like an older iDKHOW song (like a song from 1981 but mixed with some razzmatazz)
but afterall-- i still have high hopes for this new album! i'm waiting for satanic panic or i think it was the name of one of the songs lol
