obvious tw: mentions of caniblism

i saw a tiktok about this and just wanted to share

I always wondered how cannibals can eat more than one people in their life, because I always thought that immediatly after ingesting human flesh, you would get really sick because our sistem its not prepared to digest that. I was obviously wrong.

I was scroling in tiktok unitilI came across  a video of a girl i forgot the username of, who stated that the only part of the human body that would make you sick, is the brain, and after googling a bit, this is what I found:

"Kuru is a very rare disease. it is caused by an infectious protein (prion) found in contaminated human brain tissue. Kuru is found among people of New Guinea who practiced a form of cannibalism in wich they ate the brains of dead people as part of a funeral ritual."
