Here's another poem I found while I was with my ex. I never knew how bad the relationship was until reading the poems I wrote. TW: ED. I was at 120lbs when I dated him for 10 months, I was losing my weight and I went from 120lbs to 92lbs. I'm on my journey for recovery, again, I dealt with this before him, during and now after.

Threads of Hope: A Journey from Shadows to Light

By: JAR

In shadow thin, I slowly fade,

Underweight, my strength betrayed.

A whisper of a fragile frame,

invisible battles, but not the same.

Each battle, a battle, a silent war,

with no hunger knocking at my core.

Bones protrude, like fragile art,

A canvas painted with a weakened heart.

But deeps within, a spirit's fire,

Yearns to rise, to aspire higher.

To find the strength to mend and heal,

Embrace the nourishment life can reveal.

For life's a tapestry, woven strong,

With threads of hope, where we belong.

with love and care, we'll find the way,

To brighter skies and a brand-new day.

no longer bound by this heavy plight,

I'll rise from shadows into the light.

With courage and grace, I'll learn to soar,

No longer on this thin thread, I'll implore.

Though underweight, I'll find my might,

To embrace life's beauty shining bright.

In this journey's depth, I'll find my worth,

And celebrate the miracle of rebirth.
