queer liberation and being a freak with a loving freak community; to unlearn all shame about so-called "obstacles" or "unusual things" (gaining weight, struggling with mental health, needing medication, sex without relationships, recreational drug use) in your head in order to stop being so dependent on those things as an "escape" from "normal life" and instead accepting those stigmatized things as part of life and work on what you really want; to forgo the american dream (or asian dream, or any dream), the nuclear family, the perfect 9-5, and find radical personal fulfillment without those things imposed on you.

woo! tonal whiplash here we go. um, i'm still scared of men. being queer and/or having a lot of queer friends is a green flag to me. that goes for everyone, actually.
