Music publicity and popularity is going downhill, not here to judge other music but...

So i have a love for music especially when genres are combined and it's something new and unique. When music can start a whole new community of people. Can I just say that in today's music, it seems like popularity is just handed to them, I remember finding people on Soundcloud and watching them develop and increase their musical talent. They take the time to gain their views and popularity. Now that social media is really taking over the music industry I feel like some artists gain popularity too quickly and some of the time is not even based on the full song, but snippets of their lyrics that catch people's attention. 

For example... SexyRed. Let's be honest now she only gained popularity for a ridiculous lyric that caught people off guard. And of course, the media is going to make it popular. There needs to be a point where we need to stop giving ridiculous lyrics attention like this or at least let it trend and die out. Music is not the same anymore, everything sounds the same. Same beat same lyric same topic everything. Same with IceSpice! Now I can give her props cause she can rap on any beat and its good, but let's be for real about how she got to the top and it wasn't really her music (in my opinion). 

We need the hip-hop, trap, and rap community and the viewers to say enough is enough It low key to embarrassing how downhill the industry has become. But I get it they only encourage it to make a profit and we're dumb enough to put our money into it. 

And let us get into how it affects the youth. I am sick of seeing children singing and rapping vulgar lyrics and the PARENTS are allowing them to. And yes ik that people might say " we'll We did it too when we were young" Yes we did but some of our parents put a limit to it and made sure if we were singing it we did not say any curing or anything associated with sexual encounters. It's different today, parenting has also made it into a downfall. Sometimes I believe that most parents encourage this type of behavior because they want their child to not exactly be like the artist but want them to be an artist and take the easy way out to be successful. We don't need other SexyReds, there is a high demand for scientists, doctors, lawyers, etc... Everyone wants to be part of the entertainment industry, and that is the impact children are getting. Just like Lil Rt, now his popularity is nothing but stupidity. This child is encouraged to act on adult behavior and his influencers groom him. 

No one wants to put the time and pressure on music anymore, there is no such thing as a potential artist anymore. Today there are hardly any musical genesis or composers. Everyone getting famous on TikTok now and it's dishonorable. 

Call me a hater all you want, but people only use that term because they can't come to terms with the facts to small-minded to understand what true potential is.
