dragon ball gt

in the past year i've watched every dragon ball show. starting with super, and then going back to the original series and z. i haven't touched gt as of yet because of the general negative reception surrounding it, but i love dragon ball, so i've been thinking about watching it anyway. most issues with the series likely stem from the show not being directly based off of any original dragon ball source material, written by akira toriyama. the show was almost entirely done by toei animation alone, excluding some designs that toriyama contributed. i'm thinking about writing all about it in a sort of live blog, inspired by the duhragonball tumblr page i found not too long ago. they reviewed every episode with nice little screenshots and fun commentary, and i really enjoy going to each episode and seeing what they wrote about. i'll probably end up doing it whenever i have free time, but that feels very infrequent.
