Thoughts on Powers - Mind Control

Mind Control is a very powerful ability considering it's total domination of the mind although it gets nerfed if you have to do an action or get someone to reply to you (like Shinso from MHA who has top get someone to reply to him).

Let's use Dominate from Vampire the Masquerade as an example which in short allows you to control someone's actions with a simple command and erase their memory. You could be an absolute villain with this and I understand why it's a feared power. It takes away freedom of choice from people and can lead to some unforgivable crimes (i.e Rape) when in the wrong hands but I would personally see that as a waste of the power. 

I could have someone give me the last cookie or pizza slice and they'd have to. Most of my thoughts on powers have been mostly mundane things (like using time manipulation to go to the store and steal everything) but I'm being realistic here if I or anyone were to get these powers. No one's going to try and rule the world or become a supervillain if they get super-strength or ice manipulation.

Anyways back to the power. In full awareness you could do a lot with mind control - It's a very strong power. In my next blog post I'll probably talk about shapeshifting or the VTM equivalent: fleshcrafting. Until next time!
