Kind of a random blog, but just something I've had on the mind for a while. I'm referring to songs in the genre of songs like this:

Places like Wikipedia give a genre of "Downtempo" or "IDM", but I'm wondering if there's a more specific genre name, and where's more like it because I love artists like BOC and Royksopp to death.

Downtempo would be the most closest thing you can tag the both songs. here are some similar genres & artist recommendations: Trip Hop (Portishead etc), Downtempo: Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca. if you like Royksopp you will like Air (French Band) too!

If you like BOC, you might like Casino Versus Japan. His debut self-titled record is heavily ambient... (and really extraordinary, BUT) I might start with a track like "It's Very Sunny" or "Marilyn Set Me Free".
