In a world of conformity and plainness,
I stand out like a shining lantern,
My quirks and dreams and visions,
Make me an outcast, a rebel, a warning.
My heart longs for acceptance and love,
But the crowd just laughs and shoves,
I search for a place to belong,
But everywhere I go, I'm wrong.
My soul cries out for understanding,
But the world just can't seem to hear,
I'm trapped in a body that's strange,
A stranger in a world that's unclear.
Oh, how I wish to blend in,
To be like all the rest, to fit in,
But my mind and heart refuse to conform,
And so I'm left with this lonely form.
But still I hold on to my dreams,
And hope that someday I'll find my theme,
A place where I can be myself,
And not be judged or put on a shelf.
