In the world of Alegria and Corporate Memphis, so bright,
A forced joy is pushed into the light.
Their colors and shapes, so bold and clear,
Yet they mask a truth that's insincere.
Infantilizing, treating viewers as naive,
Selling services, agendas they weave.
Their art, a tool, a marketing ploy,
A facade of cheer, a counterfeit joy.
Their designs, they shout, they scream, they yell,
In every corner, their narratives dwell.
But we're not fooled, we see through the guise,
We yearn for art that truly satisfies.
So here's to the artists, true and bold,
Who refuse to let their creativity be sold.
May their work inspire, may it ring true,
And offer a respite from the corporate hue.
PS.
This excellent animation perfectly captures the feeling evoked by both art styles, embodying the same vibes of corporate-induced cheerfulness that they project.
