played portal for the first time

i played & finished portal and portal 2 for the first time a couple of days ago and i absolutely loved both of them!!!!! genuinely very amazing games :D ill go into spoilers when talking about them so go play them!

if i had to choose a character that i loved the most id say its glados.. just because of how interesting she is as a character. her story is very sad but it ends up being kind of bittersweet with how she forms a sort of connection with chell, but in the end has to force her to leave. i also really loved both her credits songs and how they show her personality and general character... shes just written well all around!!!!! but ofc i liked all the characters..... especially the frankenturrets i thought they were silly

ofc neglecting to mention the actual gameplay for portal whenever writing or talking about it feels wrong, so ill write about that too! genuinely some of the best puzzles ive ever done in my life. it actually felt so refreshing playing something that was somewhat hard but also you could figure it out on your own without looking up a guide or finding it way too easy. im still going through the bonus tests for portal 1 right now and i love the feeling of figuring it out and being able to execute it without getting angry about it ^_^

i also liked the aspet of how the lore is something you can get most of the idea of from playing both games, but if you want to look more into it you can do that by reading the comic as well as replaying it (and if yr a little lazy like me reading, the wiki)

overall portal is just a great game and portal 2 is an extremely amazing game, and i had such a tremendous experience playing them <3
